THE MISSION

I’m passionate about bringing positive change—and having fun doing it—in both my personal and professional life. At my consulting company, Scott Sky Advisors, we introduce cutting-edge technologies to America and Canada, ranging from advanced airframe technology to the world’s first certified virtual reality flight simulator. 

Similarly, my political run for Texas House District 47 seeks to improve how we do things for the people of Texas, working collaboratively for a better future. Ultimately, my mission is to solve problems by refining current solutions or introducing innovative alternatives.

THE CHALLENGE

Safety is everything in aviation and space because we deal with human lives. However, this can slow the pace of regulatory approvals. Similarly, in government, bureaucracy can delay progress, and as a first-time candidate, I’ve learned that politics can also attract self-serving individuals looking to slow down meaningful change. It becomes frustrating when you’re working to improve people’s lives. Despite these challenges, my focus remains on delivering results and navigating these slow systems with a focus on safety and efficiency.

THE PIVOT

Age and experience teach you where to focus your energy. My wife, recognizing what I was good at—and not so good at—encouraged me to start my own company. Likewise, whether in business or politics, I’ve learned to cut out what doesn’t work and focus on what does. Results are essential, and time is too valuable to waste on inefficiency. This approach and surrounding myself with honorable mentors help me navigate the complex systems I work within.

THE VICTORY 

By fostering connections and understanding the bigger picture, I’ve created win-win situations in both business and politics. My focus on teamwork, innovation and efficiency allows me to bring fresh ideas to the table, particularly in politics, where I aim to offer new, diverse perspectives for Texans. Ultimately, I aim to make a meaningful impact and am committed to continuing this journey with integrity.
